With our 10 years of industry experience, we are highly proficient in efficiently addressing any issues you may face in your retail operation.

We will provide you with up to 4 weeks of extensive training at our Calgary Headquarters, including a combination of both classroom and field education. Your training will be intense and focused. Therefore, you must come prepared for hard work and have a thorough understanding of your confidential operations manual. Training days will typically run from 9:00am - 6:00pm, although there may some earlier starts or later finishes during fieldwork. Also expect some nights and weekends.

Operations: You can contact our Franchise Support Center at any time to assist you with day-to-day operational matters. A Pet Planet field supervisor will visit your branch on a regular basis to review your progress and to provide any assistance that you may need.

Communication: Our Franchise Support Center will be in contact with you on a regular basis to keep you informed of updates, operational tips, improvements and general industry trends. Additionally, we publish a regular franchisee newsletter and offer website, intranet site and email services.

Product Development: Our development team continually reviews and enhances existing products, services and operational procedures plus evaluates new opportunities to improve the business.

Confidential Operations Manual: The confidential Operations Manual is a very detailed and comprehensive manual designed and developed by Pet Planet after many years of hands-on experience in the industry. It is a valuable tool in the daily operation of your store and will be updated on a regular basis as new systems and procedures are developed.

Purchasing: Pet Planet has spent years developing and nurturing relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure the highest quality standards and consistent supply. Distribution of inventory is through approved Pet Planet vendors/distributors only so that you will benefit from our network buying capabilities, thereby maximizing your margins.

Trademark Usage: You will be permitted to use all of the Pet Planet Trademarks, logo's, designs and operating procedures to give you a strong brand presence and unparalleled image in the marketplace.

Core Programs: Internal and external localized marketing initiatives, exclusive branded company programs and other core Pet Planet programs are a required part of your path to success. All programs are tried, tested and true and will be provided as part of your on-going support.
